Insight: Right to Privacy

This constitutional provision establishes privacy as a fundamental right in Zimbabwe, creating a legal shield against unauthorized government and private intrusions. It specifically protects physical spaces (home and property), personal information (health records), and digital communications. In modern context, this right would extend to digital privacy concerns like data protection and surveillance limitations, though the constitution predates many current technological challenges.
